“Like all photographers, I depend on serendipity. I pray for what might be referred to as the angel of chance.”

About Drew

I began with disposable cameras on family trips, made plenty of mistakes but absolutely loved capturing memories. My parents bought me a Minolta X-300 in the mid‑’90s and I developed a passion for nature and landscape photography. In 2006, I switched to digital and spent the next 20 years focused primarily on bird photography.

By 2025, I was bored of “shooting” birds so I decided to try street photography. I was drawn to its unpredictability and the stories found in everyday moments. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and reignited my creativity.

Today, I shoot both digital and film. Shooting film, in particular, has slowed me down — it forces me to be more deliberate, more intentional with each frame, and ultimately helps me make better use of my time.
